Japanese Sai Dagger is an exact replica of the 16th century
fighting knife used to defend against the katana.
Typically the Sai is an unsharpened dagger with two
projections, or tsuba, coming off the handle. Sai were carried
in threes, two at the sides and a third tucked behind, in case
one was disarmed. These were also used as throwing weapons to
defend against long range weaponry attacks.
This Sai dagger has a 12 inch blade and is 18 1/2 inches
overall. The blade and scabbard are black with gold tone
Japanese characters adorning them. This is a gorgeous replica
