This
replica sword is based on the legend of Bast, the goddess of
fertility and joy.
Bast was thought to have had the head of lion to show her
fearsome side during times of war. In the new kingdom of Egypt
it is said she gained the head of a house cat during peacetime
to show her tranquility.
This is known as an Egyptian short sword. The handle is solid
cast metal, intricately detailed and done in an antique finish
for authenticity.
The blade is 13 x 7/8 inches of 420 stainless steel, it
will not rust and you won't have to oil it. The sword is 20 3/4
inches overall.
This sword comes in two finishes, silver (pictured on the
plaque) and gold. The Bast sword also comes with the solid
wood display plaque pictured. All the hardware is included
for easy hanging.
