What material are your swords
made from and do they come edged?
Our blades come edged, but most of them are not sharpened as
they are for display. We use different metal compositions
for our swords. We predominantly sell J2 420 Stainless
Steel for our display swords. The great thing about J2 420
Stainless Steel is that it does not rust and does not need to be
oiled. The metal is strong, but not meant for use in
combat because it is rigid. If a sword made from J2 420 is
repeatedly struck on a hard surface (wood, stone, another sword)
the metal can shatter. If you need a sword for reenactment
or for SCA battle, you should go with a sword made from spring
steel. The metal is still strong, but it is not rigid like
J2 420 Stainless Steel. If a sword made from Spring Steel
(ie, our
Braveheart
Sword) strikes a hard surface, the impact is absorbed by the
blade and therefore, the blade will not shatter.
Do you sell
blank-firing guns or rifles?
All of our
replicas are for display only—we do not sell blank guns and our
guns cannot be made to fire ammunition.
What is your
chain mail composed of? Is it strong?
Our
traditional steel colored chain mail is made of 16 gauge
zinc-plated steel. Our black chain mail is made of 16
gauge carbon steel, this is the good stuff, it's real steel so
it comes pre-oiled. SCA approved, so you can wear it to
any battle event. Our chain mail is made with the traditional 4
in 1 link pattern for strength and durability.
Do you do
custom work?
Yes! We do
have custom paint work available on our
SCA shields.
If you would like your family crest or anything else painted on
one of our plain shields, please email: custom@a2armory.com.
Please include a picture (drawing, photograph, etc) with a brief
description of the colors you would like. We will get a
quote from our art department for the custom work. We will
email you with the quote, ordering information, and shipping
information. Please keep in mind that custom painting
takes time to be created and then to dry, so please allow about
10 to 14 days for the shield to be shipped to you.
Are all of
your Lord of the Rings swords Officially Licensed?
All of our
replica Lord of the Rings Swords and movie Swords are 100%
authentic replicas. They each come with a letter of
authenticity, as replicas from the movie. We do not sell
knock-offs.
Shipping FAQ
Domestic
shipping only for blades and replica firearms.
International possible (but expensive) for plate armor, chain
mail, shields, and helmets. Cannot ship guns to certain
states: Modern Replicas Cannot Be Shipped to Connecticut,
Kansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, California, Wisconsin,
New York City, Puerto Rico or
Canada.
How long will my order
take to ship?
It generally takes 24
to 48 hours to process your order before it ships and depending
on your shipping address, it can take between 7 to 10 days to
reach with ground shipping.
Where will my order be
shipped from?
All of our replicas
are imported from Europe and then shipped from one of our four
warehouses in the United States.
Do you offer faster
delivery than ground shipping?
Yes.
If you need expedited shipping please use our Live Support or
send an email with your shipping address, the
item(s) you are interested in and the time frame you need to
receive them to
shipping@a2armory.com. We will check stock and email you
a shipping quote along with ordering options.
What if the items is not
in stock when I order?
If your
order is out of stock we will let you know what the estimated
waiting time will be. As our replicas all come from Europe items
out of stock can take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive to our
warehouse, but normally you will only have to wait a few days.

We accept returns for 30
