Medieval Officer Helmet with Plume

This helmet was worn by Officers in Roman Garrisons.  The purpose of the raised plume was to make the officer more visible to his men and gave the illusion of being taller which made him appear more commanding. 

It is made of 16 gauge steel. This metallurgical composition provides excellent resilience, durability and will polish to high sheen.  The accents are all real C-854 brass, not electro-plated. They also polish to a mirror finish.

This handcrafted, full size replica is wearable and would be a great costume idea for any stage play or reenactment.  

This medieval helmet is shipped to you pre-oiled for protection.
