Barrel Great Helmet
Worn with a large amount of padding, the
Medieval Great Helmet provided superb protection. Often they
were worn over a smaller helmet, making them almost impossible
to penetrate.
This is a sturdy reproduction of the Barrel Great Helm.
It is made of hand-forged A-36 18 gauge mild steel. This
metallurgical composition provides excellent resilience,
durability and will polish to high sheen.
This item is shipped to you pre-oiled for protection.
Specifications:
- The visor opens on a hinge and locks down tight so it won't
swing open at the wrong moment.
- This helmet weighs over 6 pounds.
- It is approximately 12 inches ear to ear.
- The many breath holes allow for maximum air flow.
Due to the handmade nature of this item, no two examples are
alike. It's truly a unique, collectible piece.

from tournament to tournament and all standards are subject to
interpretation by Tournament Marshal. For your own protection,
